Mediterranean décor for your bathroom
The Mediterranean style of decorating your house is popular for the way it blends simplicity with vibrant colors and gives the ultimate elegance and charm. Hence people have started converting their bathroom into a Mediterranean resort too.
This particular style induces the use of wrought iron and basic, almost rustic looking wooden furniture, colorful wall paints, ceramic (sometimes patterned) tiles, pots of terracotta and the like. With your bathroom as your concern you can either opt for a Greece-kind look where lime colored whitewash adorns the ceiling and the walls, while blue is the color of the window sills. If you do not favor that, you can try out Provencial Mediterranean style where colors like blues, greens, pinks and lilac are used. Use of patterned ceramic tiles is common.
Use of curtains of silk or cotton is encouraged to give the bathroom a Mediterranean feel and use of carpets in vibrant tones where chances of water spills are minimal is also employed. If your bathroom has room in it for furniture bring in rustic looking wooden or simple looking wrought iron furniture. Use wooden shelves affixed to your bathroom corners to put up Mediterranean looking decoration articles.
